The Strategic Vision of PM Stephen Harper

PM Harper Sees Far Into The Future That Can Be Close

By Shai Razieli

* (Before or after reading, It is advisable for you to watch a CBC video down-page)

Prime Minister Stephen Harper laid the foundation for Canada's deterrence in the event of a global conflagration nightmare scenario in the future.
According to the international
geopolitical terror and military developments in the Middle East, clashes flare between states, between powers, maybe closer when you think.
Common Flare-ups can be between; Iran Syria vs ISIS. Iran Yemen vs Saudi Arabia. Iran Hezbollah Hamas vs Israel. In Europe; Russia vs Ukraine, Russia vs Poland, when USA rushes to defend, and in South Asia, the two Koreas War. The potential for international violence is big, can lead to world war III. By all global war scenarios even Canada could find itself under attack, not to mention the U.S.

CBC news
article shot in Europe, contained also some archived footage, that reveals some  of PM Harper's foreign and defense policy. CBC is well known for taking advantage at every opportunity, and it happens every day, to unbalance and sharply criticize PM Harper and his government. While CBC criticizes Harper, it sides with NDP and Liberals, still funded by the government, swallowing millions of taxpayer dollars. If you watched this video, you probably know by now that CBC made a mistake. Their aim was to slander, but somehow the result from the aired story came as a blessing to Harper's policies. CBC's Correspondent Nahlah Ayed and her editor, planned to stretch harsh criticism on Harper in this news article, but they resulted to provide encouragement to PM Harper's foreign and defense policy.

Factually, this is true, PM Harper is indeed taking unprecedented serious steps regarding military preparations and defense, in case of a global conflagration military option.
The extreme situation prevailing in the world, reminiscent
1938-39's Pre-WWII.
The results can be dangerous,
definitely could create a situation that can sweep the world, leading to an outbreak of a global conflagration that could lead to a tragic World War III.

Even Harper's opponents admit the significant dangers of global conflagration
in case war breaks out. Not including Liberal leader Justin Trudeau, follower of a soft hand policy toward ISIS global terror threats. Trudeau believes in weakening Canada's defense by reducing the size of Canada's armed forces and police forces in land, sea and air. At the same time Harper's foreign policy has strategic vision, which has also interior Homeland Security repercussions, facing radical terror threats, but not limited to.

Canada, the world's second largest country, with huge natural resources of oil and natural gas, could be a focus of an enemy invasion because of its strategic location and its natural resources. More importantly, because its long border with the USA, its closest ally.
Canada can be used as a strategic base for hostile forces, seeking to perform large ground attack against
 the United States.

Should Global conflagration breakout, almost all strategic scenarios point to
extremely large hostile forces of foreign armies, planning to attack The United States.
The attacks via ground operations will start from the north. M
ilitary armed forces would invade first into Canada, presumably from the Atlantic, or west at the Pacific, or simultaneously. Ground attack against USA can not be only by an invasion from the ocean.
The attacking forces also require terrestrial bases to perform ground attack
in parallel to in progress invasion from the ocean. These bases, the enemy will seek to establish in southern Canada, nearby hence to the vulnerable home front densely populated of the USA.

Potential enemy invaders, whether Iran, North Korea, Russia,
Islamic state (ISIS) plus Al-Qaida, Baku Haram and Muslim Salafis, would invade, according to one scenario, from the ocean. But they will need a wide strip spread out to occupy territories of land across southern Canada, to enable large-scale attack using "bridge heads" at the southern border, breaking and entry of foreign troops to occupy territories in northern United States.

In Canada, as well as its southern border, there are many
highways that can be used as main routes for offensive troops movements, equipped with tanks, armored personnel carriers carrying ammunition and fuel supply. Occupied territories may be established in fragments in strategic areas across the southern border of Canada. The attack on USA border by ground invasion, would commence post a massive barrage of ballistic missiles into Southern Canada and USA.

Harper's strategies are in coordination with the Pentagon. Harper's strategy also generates Canadian military offshoots growing qualitatively and numerically in Eastern Europe, the Baltic and Poland; Squadrons of warplanes bomb and forces training and military manuals. In the Middle East, mainly in Kuwait, operating against ISIS who occupied large areas in Iraq and Syria.

As well, the Harper Government is pursuing defense by establishing small military bases throughout Europe and the Middle East. In case of global war, these bases would be enlarged. The Government of Canada and USA
can increase American and Canadian forces immediately when needed, by a massive mobilization of forces to the forefront.
This Strategy of establishing military bases far away, would enable American and Canadian
forces to turn offensive in time of crises, thereby preventing enemy troops movements from the Middle East towards North America. If you ask why Canada should be involved in all this, the answer is that Canada is a strategic goal for the reasons listed above and can't afford to remain passive and fall a burden on the USA, who will be busy defending its own people. Only the involvement of Canada today will change this situation.

The Harper homeland security strategy includes legislative innovation very needed,
Bill 51. This includes counter of terror expansion for law enforcement, intelligence, expansion of surveillance foremost for The Canadian Security Intelligence Agency (CSIS) which recently received authority by law to act outside Canada, tightening control and monitoring throughout the country. Law  extension allowing  the Mounties (RCMP), Police forces of each of the 10 Canadian Provinces and municipal police forces in large urban cities such as Toronto, to act effectively against Islamist terror.

All of the above demonstrates PM Harper not only works in the field of Homeland Security to face any terror threat domestically, but expands, for the first time since World War II, the Canadian Forces bases outside the country, whose job now is relatively small, but can grow when needed in a short time to defend Canada.
